Dear Friends and Family:
I hope that God is doing as many wonderful things in your life as He is in mine. I’ve just finished my first semester at Columbus State University. I  have been feeling God’s calling in my life to do more for the world around me.

I want to share with you a challenging ministry opportunity that I believe God has presented to me.  From July 12th  -  December 4th 2009, I have been accepted to go to Australia with the  missions organization: Youth With A Mission (YWAM). This discipleship training school will equip me with the skills needed for  mission work.  While taking the classroom-style courses,  I will be reaching out and spreading the  gospel to the Aborigines and also learning more about the people there and their culture.

While God has opened up a door for me to develop a greater heart of compassion for His people around the world, the exciting part is that you will be able to share in this compassion in several ways. First, you can help pray for me and my fellow students. We will need prayers that God will prepare us for this intensive school, and bless our efforts as we minister to the people of Australia. I will also need prayers that my financial needs will be met.  I need to raise $12,000 to attend this 6-month program, and that is quite a challenge!

Another way you can be involved is to help provide that financial support. Would you consider supporting me with a financial contribution? We have divided the need into 500 shares at $25 each.  No matter how many shares you feel led to purchase, I believe this is the best investment you can make in any economy and I take your support very seriously.  Whether you feel led to contribute financially, through prayer, or both, all of your support is appreciated.

I look forward to doing God’s work in Australia and letting you know all about how God has worked through me, and in my life when I return in December.
